Hello everyone! Helpful human tip! If possible please avoid shopping on the 1-3rd of APRIL as this is when WIC benefits will reach low income families who will look to redeem them. If you need to shop please try to give everyone space and avoid the items on the shelves marked WIC. Thank you and love to you all!
Calling all crafters: Join @hillscohen LIVE this Monday for a 12-hour sewing marathon event in response to our nation's 100 million mask challenge. Let's come together to see how many masks the entire home sewing community can generate in just one day! Get yourself sewing party prepped- fabric cut, elastic or tie ready to go, then get set up to make as many masks as you can in 12 hours. @hillscohen will be live on both Facebook and Instagram the entire event- offering tips, encouragement, and a virtual friend to sew with. Can't wait to see you all there! NOTE: I myself cannot sew but I will be watching and cheering as hard as I can for those more talented than myself this is an amazing way YOU can help!!!!

Stay strong. Stay safe. Stay inside. Order from local restaurants. Don’t hoard. Stay in touch. For those of you: the health workers, the ones stocking the shelves, the sanitation workers, the people who are still going to work because they are keeping this country alive. Thank you. We can do this.

Spring has officially sprung in NYC. And while the blossoms and the weather could not be more beautiful this is a scary and uncertain time. Sadly (for me) our pilot #waysandmeans has been postponed along with many other shows (maybe all at this point?) And I am joining many people (in America and globally) who must now wait for work to return. I am so grateful that my work is not essential to human life and that there are doctors and nurses who are skilled and courageous enough to dedicate their time and health to keeping us safe. The most important thing is to remain home if you feel sick. But beyond that i want to encourage our representatives in The house and the senate to support and pass the FAMILIES FIRST CORONAVIRUS ACT. We need to provide free testing and medical aid to those who may be sick. Paid leave to those affected and a way to feed kids while schools are shut down. Please stay safe and healthy. Take care of your family, your neighbors and yourself. This is a global pandemic and the only way we will get through it is as a global community.
