#daisyjonesandthesix #desenhos #art

"...I thought love was bombs and tears and blood. I did not know that it was supposed to make you lighter, not heavier..." . . *Gasp* this isn't a horror book! How dare I pick this up in October instead of a book that scares the 💩 out of me 😱 But for real, I can only tolerate so many dark books in a row before I feel desensitized to the horror aspects and start feeling like I'm just trying to get to the next book and the next. . . This book was the perfect break. It was absolutely beautiful and I loved it so much! I seriously cannot stop thinking about it. It's written in an interview style about a fictional band in the 70s. It feels like it was made for audio; the full cast narration was fantastic. The different voices for each character made it so easy to follow the back and forth responses. . This book is so captivating and totally binge-worthy! I was so wrapped up in the lives of these characters and wanted so badly for them to be real. Seems like I'm not the only one either. After typing a couple letters into Google, 'is daisy jones & the six based on a true story' popped up. Answer: yes and no. The story was inspired by Taylor Jenkins Reid's awestruck reaction to a viewing of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, of Fleetwood Mac, performing 'Landslide' in 1997. . This story of love, addiction, desire, and the power of music is just so so good. I highly recommend it... oh and listen to the audiobook, you won't regret it 🤘

|Daisy Jones & The Six - Taylor Jenkins Reid| 📚Sobre a Obra: "Todo mundo conhece Daisy Jones & The Six. Recomendam outros livros ds autora? Vamo conversar.

Daisy, wokalistka The Six, była jedną z najbardziej charakterystycznych członków zespołu. No po prostu cudowne.Czytalam je i nuciłam sobie do nich wymyślone melodie. Myślę, że gdyby zespół Daisy Jones and The Six istniał naprawdę miała bym go na swojej playliście, choćby dlatego, że w mojej duszy od zawsze grał rock'and'roll. Absolutely loved this read and can’t wait to indulge when the Netflix feature is released. Anyone know when that’s suppose to be?! It’s quite an entangled story. Music, drugs, pain, love and everything in between. I would hands down give it five stars! The Bose headphones makes me miss traveling. The noise cancelling aspect has been a life saver when on a plane and trying to tune out the world. Ktorú knižku ste naposledy prečítali na jeden záťah? Daisy Jones & The Six je proste...ja to neviem vyjadriť, pretože vám môžem v jednej vete dať toľko očakávaní a možného následného sklamania. Možno sa vám ani nebude páčiť, lebo nenájdete to, čo ja. Ale popravde - dvaja rovnakí ľudia nenájdu to isté v jednej knihe. A ja som v tejto našla to, čo som potrebovala, aby ma to posunulo ďalej. ♡♡♡♡♡♡/5 #spolupraca s @slovenskyspisovatel #daisyjonesandthesix #taylorjenkinsreid #music #70s #dnescitam #knihy #milujemeknihy #kapela #citatelskakriza #drugs #sexdrugsrocknroll #daisyjones #thesix #somknihozrut #knihomolka #knihomol #losangeles #viaccasunacitanie #dnesctu #czskbookstagram #bookphotography

🎸 Daisy Jones & The Six 🎸 ◊ WHAT A FUN BOOK. by fun I don't necessarily mean light, I just had so much fun *reading* it. Probably in part bc I'm a huge sucker for stories about music to any extent, but I'm especially a sucker for this exact type of long-form, oral history type music profile piece. So to read it as a fictional story was DELIGHTful ◊ The novel is written entirely in interview format. There's an author's note at the beginning that discloses the goal of the book that follows is to clarify the reason for the demise of the rock group, Daisy Jones & The Six, in the late '70s. ◊ The interviews mostly come from the core members of the band, Billy & Graham Dunne, Daisy Jones (vocals, guitar, vocals), Karen, Warren, Eddie, and Pete (keyboard, drums, rhythm guitar, bass, respectively), but also key figures in the band's orbit as the rose to fame. Everyone from a hotel concierge who interracted with Daisy in some of of her lower, drug-induced moments, to the label's tour accountant tallying up the insane hotel damages from city to city. ◊ It was such a fun way to learn about the band, & to see how memories are tainted revised, or smudged, depending on who's rehashing them & what how they experienced things in order to live with themselves. The best moments in the book were what makes these kinds of journalistic pieces great, imo, like a brief deadpan response from Karen, the band's only female member until Daisy came along, right after Billy pontificates about music being the great equalizer when it comes to gender, race, sexuality. ◊ In a broader sense, this book is about addiction, love, loss, the narcissism of fame, all that, but in a more focused sense I think it also deals with the larger than life status that some bands have achieved, while trying to dismantle that & bring a bit more humanity to the individuals who oil the machine, if that makes sense. ◊ Long story short, I loved this book. It really worked for me, & I can't wait to read Evelyn Hugo soon 🎶 • • • • • #books #bookstagram #bookish #igreads#igbooks #bibliophile #review #bookworm #bookrec #instaread #bookreview #booksofig #booknerd #bookblog #music #taylorjenkinsreid #daisyjonesandthesix

✨The Final Revival of Opal & Nev✨ Opal is a fiercely independent young woman pushing against the grain in her style and attitude, Afro-punk before that term existed. Despite her unconventional looks, Opal believes she can be a star. So when the aspiring British singer/songwriter Neville Charles discovers her one night, she takes him up on his offer to make rock music together. 🎶 In early seventies New York City, just as she's finding her niche as part of a flamboyant and funky creative scene, a rival band signed to her label brandishes a Confederate flag at a promotional concert. Opal's bold protest and the violence that ensues set off a chain of events that will not only change the lives of those she loves, but also be a deadly reminder that repercussions are always harsher for women, especially Black women, who dare to speak their truth. Decades later, as Opal considers a 2016 reunion with Nev, music journalist S. Sunny Shelton seizes the chance to curate an oral history about her idols. Sunny thought she knew most of the stories leading up to the cult duo's most politicized chapter, but as her interviews dig deeper, a nasty new allegation from an unexpected source threatens everything. Now we don’t want to boast but we think @dawniewalton has written the most iconic star in fiction in Opal Jewel. ⭐️Readers, we promise you are going to LOVE her!! At our Word of Mouth Bestsellers evening Dawnie described the DNA of Opal as being a little bit of Grace Jones, Poly Styrene, Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner. 🌟 You definitely do not want to miss out on this debut novel, coming April 2021! I was super ill these past couple of days and what came out of it was a newfound love of audiobooks! There are only so many movies or tv shows I can watch from bed before my brain wants to self destruct. Being able to light a candle, close my eyes and be drawn into a story was truly a godsend. Highly recommend both Daisy Jones and The Six and Im Still Here : Black Dignity In A World Made for Whiteness. The Daisy Jones cast killed it. The story was interesting if a little aloof, but very entertaining. Austin Channing Brown is a powerful voice and her words resonated with me so much. I’m not very religious, so even though a lot of her battles and reckonings happened within the church (important work that needs to be done because the church is complicit!!) I still learned a lot and highly recommend this work. Wash your hands! Don’t get strep—It sucks!

Me emocionou, me envolveu e me deixou querendo mais.

“Todo mundo conhece Daisy Jones & The Six.

Me emocionou, me envolveu e me deixou querendo mais.

#bookreview 📖Daisy Jones and the Six Author: @tjenkinsreid Genre: Historical Fiction Page Count: 307 Personal Ratings: 4.5 🌟 Synopsis: Everyone knows Daisy Jones & The Six: The band's album Aurora came to define the rock 'n' roll era of the late seventies, and an entire generation of girls wanted to grow up to be Daisy. But no one knows the reason behind the group's split on the night of their final concert at Chicago Stadium on July 12, 1979 . . . until now. This book contains the story of Daisy and The Six becoming rock stars, coming together as a band, writing their greatest hit album and eventually splitting. My Thoughts: The writing style of this book is the main attraction. It is written as a documentary, a series of interviews by the band members, crews and other people around them. I hardly watch any documentary as I find them very boring. But this books is something else. The writing is simple yet extraordinary and so quotable. To write about a fictional rock band and their life as a series of interviews and make it interesting is a great work on the writer's part. "Music is never about music. If it was, we'd be writing songs about guitar. But we don't" Just like that, this books isn’t about music either. It’s about people, their insecurities, indecisions, wrong choices and consequences. Taylor Jenkins Reid knows how to write flawed characters yet make you root for them. The characters of this book and their lives are far from anything I'll ever come across but they were so relatable. Sometimes I loved the characters, other times I hated them. I wanted to hate their decisions yet I understood their motivations. I wanted what's best for every one of them. The book has been picked up by Amazon Prime to make a 13 episode TV series. I can't wait to watch that. . . . . . #books #booksofinstagram #bookblog #bookblogger #booklover #bookworm #bibliophile #reader #readersofinstagram #taylorjenkinsreid #daisyjonesandthesix #music #bookstagram #bookstagrambd #bangladesh🇧🇩

🇬🇧 Happy Wednesday 🌞 which books do you talk about too much? (Which isn't a bad thing!) I feel like I never shut up about The House in the Cerulean Sea or Radio Silence or Daisy Jones and The Six! I hope you aren't bored already! 😀😀 🇫🇮 Hauskaa keskiviikkoa 🌞 mistä kirjoista sä puhut aivan liikaa? (Ei siis ole mikään huono juttu!) Musta tuntuu että mä puhun aivan koko ajan tietyistä kirjoista, kuten: The House in the Cerulean Sea, Radio Silence ja Daisy Jones and The Six. Ne on vaan mun lempparit 🥺

I was tagged by the lovely @readwithbex for the #fivefingerbookchallenge! I rarely get to do challenges on here so this is exciting, thank you Becca! • 👍: A book that I love – Daisy Jones & the Six. I loved this. Everything about it was so gritty and captivating, each character so layered and flawed and full of complexities. I also loved the format of this book, told from varying perspectives in an interview format. • 👆: a book that I recommend – Dear Martin. I've been recommending this one to everyone and anyone for a few years now, and @frmedens had a hold of my copy for quite a while. She finally picked it up recently, just in time for the release of the sequel, and was grateful for the rec! If you haven't read this, please do. And if you have, then support your local bookstores (and go indie if you can!) and grab a copy of the newly released sequel, Dear Justyce. • 🖕: a book that I didn’t like – A Song for Ella Grey. As a lover of retellings of Greek Mythology, and somebody who actively sought out Orpehus/Eurydice adaptations, you'd think this would be perfect for me. With a contemporary setting and a sprinkling of LGBT+ rep (if you could call it that), I was all for this – until I read it. With casual homophobia, and a lot of nonsensical plot holes, I wish this had been more enjoyable than it was. • 💍: a character that I would marry – Sara Howard/John Schuyler Moore from The Alienist. I struggled a lot with this one but in the end I settled on the protagonists of The Alienist. I adore both Sara an John, both in the book and on TV. If I had to choose between the two I’d say Sara, but I worship them both individually and as a duo. • 📖: a book that I promise to read – A Kind of Spark. I've wanted to read it for ages and I finally got a copy last week for my birthday. I've heard only good things and I lit up the second I opened it. It's one of my most highly anticipated and I'll be so disappointed with myself if I leave it sitting on my shelf. • #books #bookish #bookstagram #boooksbooksbooks #booksofinsta #ireadya #booktography #middlegrade #daisyjonesandthesix #dearmartin #thealienist #akindofspark #taylorjenkinsreid #nicstone #calebcarr #ellemcnicoll

⬢ Book Review ⬢ Daisy Jones & The Six Taylor Jenkins Reid 355 pages ⬡⬡⬡⬡⬡/5 Summary : When Daisy Jones, a coming of age girl living in LA during the 60's with a dream for rock and roll, meets Billy Dunne, leader of the band The Six, the two become part of music history. Review : I absolutely LOVED everything about this book. Although I wasn't sure about reading a book written as an oral history through interviews with each of the characters, I was soon drawn into the story and forgot all about the delivery. The characters and settings were so lifelike, I found myself trying to Google their music to listen for myself. Whoops! I wish they were a real band, because I love that era of music and would have definitely listened to them. #bookreview #bookreviewers #daisyjonesandthesix #daisyjones #taylorjenkinsreid #mustread #waitingonwednesday #fromabove #bookrec #bookoftheday #readmorebooks #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #🇨🇦bookenablers #bookishcanadians #vinylcollection #givemevinylorgivemedeath #iloverockandroll #shereadswithbees

My daughter @o_christensenn has told me to read this for months...and I’ve erroneously cast it aside. While I love listening to music, it’s not in my soul like my husband and daughters...so I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy this book. • BUT, #daisyjonesandthesix is so good and I can’t wait for the movie...which I’ve heard has been cast. Am I wrong about that? Who else is reading or has read this? 📖 • #whatimreading #igbooks #bookstagram #novel #paperback #coffeeandbooks #readingtime #currentlyreading

🎶📖 Daisy Jones & The Six /Taylor Jenkins Reid 📖🎶 ------------------------------------- •Príbeh o začiatkoch, vzostupe a páde fiktívnej rockovej kapely The Six a o jednej magickej speváčke Daisy Jones ma úplne očaril. --------------------------------- Hodnotenie: 5*/5 --------------------------------- #kniznastafeta u @kradnem.knihy ---------------------------------- #daisyjonesandthesix #taylorjenkinsreid #slovenskyspisovatel #tipnaknihu #tipnacitanie #dnes_ctu #dnescitam #dnes_citam #bookstagram #kniznarecenzia #milujemeknihy #reesesbookclub #precitanylockdown

Let’s talk about all time favorite reads. For me Daisy Jones and the Six is the book I recommend to everyone. The writing style reads like an episode of Behind the Music (dating my self here, I know). This book had me checking to see if the band was real (it’s not but you could compare it to Fleetwood Mac). I loved following Daisy’s rockstar life but I also enjoyed each band members mini storylines (especially resident feminist Karen Karen). I am looking forward to watching the Amazon series. Did you read Daisy Jones? What’s the one book you recommend to all your friends? #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookish #bookofthemonth #botmclub #reesesbookclubxhellosunshine #daisyjonesandthesix #taylorjenkinsreid #booksbooksbooks #booklover #readersgonnaread #readersofinstagram #readingismyjam #daisyjonesandthesixreview

Just sharing a pic of the books I've gotten this last month via @bookswapuk . Getting second hand books feels a lot more environmentally friendly, plus it's cool that my books get to go to new homes as well 💙 . You can list your unwanted books for people to claim and once a book is claimed you can post it to them for free using Hermes. You earn a swap point for every book you send out and you can use that to claim a book of your own (if you have a swap point all you pay for is the shipping). You also get a swap point for signing up (going to put a referral link up in my bio if I can figure that out as well haha). . . #bookstagram #bookworm #bookcommunity #bookcommunity #bookstagrammers #bibliophile #bookdragon #bookworms #bookstack #janeausten #daisyjonesandthesix #taylorjenkinsreid #thenightcircus #erinmorgenstern

#editioncharleston#daisyjonesandthesix#taylorjenkinsreid#littérature#lire#lecture#lecturedujour#livraddict#books#bookstagram#booklover#bookaddict#livresque#roman#ideelecture#conseillecture#bouquiner#bookstagramfrance#bloglitteraire#blogeuselitteraire#read#reading#instalecture#instabook#instalivre#avislecture#lectricecompulsive#passionlecture #lecturedumoment#bouquin

#daisyjonesandthesix #taylorjenkinsreid #editoraparalela #resenha #rock #livro #book #SigamAsParceiras #sdv

Can you compare two good books ? Picture Credits : @cappuccinos_and_books So these two books were picked up by our bookclub @behindtheblurbbookclub for this month. 1. Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo 2. Daisy Jones & The Six Author of both books TaylorJenkinsReid @tjenkinsreid . Book no. 1 is darker than no. 2. It deals with more taboo subjects and always kept me on the verge of tears. It left me heart broken. The more days are passing the more I am feeling sad in my reality. Evelyn Hugo character is very complex, as human nature is complex. Book no. 2 revolves around mainly interpersonal relationships. Mean to say book no. 1 deals with more deep/darker moral/social issues. Book no.1 based on Hollywood, Evelyn Hugo a great actress of her time. Book no. 2 based on music industry, Daisy Jones a great pop/rock singer of her era. Both of these book portray confident females chasing and fulfilling their dreams in a male dominated world. They stand against all the odds and go on to win this world. But one thing was common for me, I used to forget my own reality while reading these books. Both books are good ones but my personal favorite between these two will be book no. 1. I bet Evelyn Hugo can seduce devil on a given day. #14 Daisy Jones and The Six. A story about 1970s rock ‘n’ roll, the chaos of musical stardom and deeper darker consequences of the journey to the top of the musical and world stage. Daisy Jones is an addict who was destined for glory and Billy Dunne, talented lead of rock band The Six. The book details the coming together of the two and the sparks that fly between them. The subplots that surround the protagonists are all the more interesting as you wait to see how they impact the dynamic of the band. They include keyboardist Karen and Billy’s brother Graham’s relationship, Billy’s wife Camila’s role as his wife and the mother of his children and how the Rockstar lifestyle imposes on her family, band manager Teddy’s influence on the band’s artistic material and guitarist Eddie’s disdain for Billy and how he manages it. I finished the book in two very short sittings and I think that is partly the immediacy of the oral history/vignette-style the narrative is written in, which impels the reading experience and provides multiple points of view that clash and differ with each other from ever so slightly to completely in important plot points. The agency given to me as a reader through the stylised depiction of events enabled me to make the characters whom I wanted them to be and the intricacies of the story how I trust they should’ve been. This book was a character study with characters formed with nuanced yet fallible behaviours, emotions and histories. What they do and the decisions they make all make sense despite the despair I felt as a reader. There is an urgency in these characters that pushes them beyond what they felt was possible and what I thought was possible as a reader, only to conclude how their vulnerability is completely captivating. At the heart of the rock and roll, the backstage drama, the heights of stardom in LA and the drug-fuelled nights on Sunset Boulevard is a love story. Of a love that is complicated in its origins, messy in its hunger, dangerous in its costs and heartbreaking in its ending. 🎵 ‘No matter who you love, they will break your heart along the way.’ (p. 290) #daisyjonesandthesix #bookstagram #taylorjenkinsreid

❤️ #laregina #queen #rnr #rocknroll #wildandfree #instalike #instapic #instabook #daisyjonesandthesix #versioneitaliana #sperlingkupfer #leggere #bookstagram #books #booklover #libri #sololibribelli #leggopervivere #lavitaèletteratura

QOTD: What’s the last book you savoured while reading, really took your time to enjoy? r e v i e w: Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Usually when I think about whether or not I enjoyed a book, I can tell based on how quickly I read it. The faster I devour a story, the greater my adoration. Daisy Jones and the Six is one of those rare books where I loved it, but read it over multiple sittings. I’d steal a moment here or there to get a few pages in. My thoughts: • Taylor Jenkins Reid is the queen of writing realistic characters. They’re so flawed and wonderfully human, and they weasel their way into your damn heart. • I don’t think I’ve ever read a fictional book written in an interview format; I loved it. The characters tell contradictory stories of events, which only emphasizes their personalities and makes them feel more real. You’re left wondering if time has changed how they remember the past, or if they actually saw events the way they say. • The novel is authentic and intriguing, and I would obviously recommend it. It’s real and raw. I can’t wait for the day I can actually listen to the songs on Spotify. Evelyn Hugo still has the entirety of my heart though.

Daisy Jones & The Six - Taylor Jenkins Reid Od téhle knihy jsem měla enormní očekávání.

🎸 Se eu pudesse te induzir a algo, certamente eu faria você ler Daisy Jones and The Six.

A leitura é fluída, envolvente, intensa e emocionante. [RESENHA] Bom dia pessoal, quem aqui conhece o tão famoso “Daisy Jones and The Six: Uma história de amor e música”? 😭😭😭 Não me matem, ok?

#FictionalFriendsForBiden@hopefullyhannareads & @hiranmayabookblog posted about characters they think would be voting for Biden and I wanted to join in on the fun! 🗳 The Wedding Date: Alexa & Drew are voting for Biden because they can’t believe anyone would deny climate change after seeing the wildfires in California and feel that he has the stronger position. 🗳 In Five Years: like a lot of New Yorkers, Dannie watched COVID ravage the city and trusts Biden more. plus she has experienced a lot of loss in her life so she appreciates that the VP has experienced grief and empathizes with people. 🗳Daisy Jones & The Six: Daisy wants to make sure we invest in health care to help people dealing with substance use disorder. she also appreciates the way the VP talks about being proud of Hunter Biden and his recovery journey. 🗳 Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win: Charlotte was so distressed by the ’16 election that she ran for Senate in PA in ’18 and she’s using her name recognition to campaign for Biden in the swing state. 🗳 Beach Read: January appreciates the VP’s dedication to cancer research after what her mother went through. she and Gus are also volunteering for Gary Peters since they know how crucial that seat is. — one week out 🙌🏽 have you voted already or are you voting on the 3rd?

National Author's Day is this Sunday and I want to celebrate some of my favorite authors in an #authorsdaystackchallenge. ⁣ ⁣ ◻️ An author that got you into reading: Anthony Doerr. I have always been a reader but All the Light We Cannot See is one of my favorite books and one book that got me into reading more in recent years. ⁣ ◻️ An author you recommend to others: Fredrik Backman. I have adored all of his books and his writing style is so unique and he does a wonderful job connecting me to his characters. ⁣ ◻️ An auto-buy author: Taylor Jenkins Reid. TJR is one of my favorites and I will read anything she writes. She is also one of the few authors I will reread. ⁣ ◻️ An author that you recently discovered: Lucy Foley. I read two of her books earlier this year and adore her writing style, which reminds me of Agatha Christie. I'm here for whatever she puts out next! ⁣ ◻️ An author that deserves more hype: Libby Page. The Lido / retitled to Mornings with Rosemary is such a heartwarming, friendship and community story and this is a book that I am always recommending! ⁣ ◻️ An author you want to read more of: Elizabeth Acevedo. I adore her writing style, how much you learn from her stories, and how much you take away in general. ⁣ ⁣ Consider yourself tagged to join in and let's show some appreciation for some wonderful authors out there! ⁣ ⁣ #nationalauthorsday #authorsdaystackchallenge #anthonydoerr #allthelightwecannotsee #fredrikbackman #mygrandmotheraskedmetotellyoushessorry #taylorjenkinsreid #daisyjonesandthesix #lucyfoley #theguestlist #libbypage #thelido #elizabethacevedo #clapwhenyouland #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #goodreads #bookishladiesclub #blcthriller #bibliophile #bookrecommendations #bookrecs #igreads #alwaysreading #bookcommunity

“Music can dig, you know? It can take a shovel to your chest and just start digging until it hits something.” 🎸 🥃 💔 I had heard a lot about this one, and it was a good dose of fun. Told in the form of an extended interview with band members and their entourage, it details the 70s ascent to stardom of Daisy Jones and The Six (essentially a fictionalised Fleetwood Mac). The members reflect on their experiences and contradict one another, each holding onto their own version of the band’s big hits, and it’s sudden unravelling in a mire of pills, booze and heartaches. 🎸 🥃 💔 I listened to Rumours a lot this week, kind of wishing I could listen to Aurora, the band’s groundbreaking album (although the ending of this novel left me a bit sceptical). There’s a great description of Aurora - how you can party to it and drive to it, but also be sad to it. The lyrics in Go Your Own Way that really get me immediately came to mind: “If I could, baby I’d give you my world / How can I when you won’t take it from me?” There’s so much hurt against that dazzle of guitar. 🎸 🥃 💔 I thought about how much I romanticised musicians and their lives as a teenager (honestly, into my 20s) and how much I would have loved this novel then. I thought a lot about sobriety and creativity and storytelling. I reminisced about nights in crowds listening to live music, and feeling the swell in my chest when a favourite song begins. I wonder when it will be possible to feel that again. 🎸 🥃 💔 Huge thank you to @mausimausimausi for lending me this escape into California sunshine and the clutches of hedonism 🌴 🎶 #bookstagram #booksofig #DaisyJonesAndTheSix #TaylorJenkinsReid #stayhomeandread

#bookstagram #booklover #books #libros #estanterias #recomendaciones #librosrecomendados #prettybooks #bookaddict #bookaholic #bookshelf #benbrooks #daisyjonesandthesix #todosquierenadaisyjones

Also I’ve been quite inactive these past few weeks but to be fair election anxiety and school stress is not the best combination together 😅 so I try avoiding social media throughout the day to 1 stop procrastinating on my work & 2 avoid news about this election😅 but hopefully after elections I can be more active & have a peaceful mind 🤞🏽🤗

THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO - TAYLOR JENKINS REID @tjenkinsreid Wow. I read this as a buddy read with the lovely Lydia @the.bookie.monster and we’re still not over it. Don’t take it lightly when I say THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE BOOKS EVER. Also after reading Daisy Jones then this- I THINK @tjenkinsreid IS MY NEW FAVOURITE AUTHOR. First of all let me start by saying this book is worthy of every single drop of hype that it receives. It’s clever, unpredictable, moving, and most definitely POWERFUL. I thought this might just be about a young starlets quest for love throughout her life in the public eye, BOY WAS I WRONG. It is actually about about sexuality, race and misogyny. The struggle of being expected to conform and be what people want you to be, not who you truly are. Not only is it immensely enjoyable, it is educational and heartbreaking. It’s so understandable that I’ve not seen a single review slating it. The enduring friendship of Harry and Evelyn is one of the best and most beautiful relationships I’ve ever read about. This book delivers a big fat eye opener of the fact that life is too short and we should never pretend to be someone we’re not. I cannot recommend this book to you enough. I actually feel true excitement at the idea of my friends and family picking this up because I NEED to discuss it. I’ve tagged some of the people I want to read it 😂 With regards to the rating, 5 stars is not enough. This book is life changing and is not even on the same level as the other books I have rated highly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+/5 #thesevenhusbandsofevelynhugo #taylorjenkinsreid #daisyjonesandthesix #bookreview #bookstagram #bookstagrammer

🤞 Knihy písané formou rozhovoru mám obzvlášť v obľube, nakoľko veľa čítam o rôznych hudobníkoch a kapelách, ktoré má nejakým spôsobom fascinujú a vážim si ich. Takže v tomto smere, to nebola moja prvotina, čo sa štýlu týka. -------------------------------- A teraz k samotnému príbehu 📖. A... Stále mám to nutkanie... Knihu odporúčam 🎶🎤🎸 #daisyjonesandthesix#70's#rock#music#knihy y#dnescitam📖#bookstargram #knihynakazdyden#knihomolka @slovenskyspisovatel

BOOK REVIEW: Daisy Jones & the Six by @tjenkinsreid Daisy Jones has a touch of destiny about her. She’s beautiful and talented and pretty unstoppable. When she crosses paths with The Six, a band banging on the door of greatness, the result is nothing short of spectacular. This is a story about loving someone you shouldn’t, and learning your limits. It’s a story about being a woman in a man’s world. It’s a story about rock & roll. I loved this book so much. I devoured it in one sitting. Every character is so real. The way the book is written is unusual, and feels very music documentary. There are a thousand plot lines tangling together, each one of them special and complete. You should read this book. #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookworm #booksbooksbooks #books #bookdevourer #currentlyreading #bookblog #bookblogger #bookreview #daisyjonesandthesix #taylorjenkinsreidbooks #taylorjenkinsreid #daisyjones #bookofthemonth #bookofthemonthclub

🌀It’s 60s day!!🌀 Both of these lovely books are set in the 60s, and both are must reads 🤩 So, naturally, these books are perfect when paired with a go-go girl costume you’ve had since you were 12!! (sunglasses you bought in this decade not included).

“To quote” em inglês signfica "citar".

Vamos conversar 👇🏻

🎸R E V I E W🎸 —————————————————————— ⭐️Daisy Jones & the six...By @tjenkinsreid ⭐️ . Just wow! What a masterpiece of a book! Captivating from the start! . Everybody knows Daisy Jones and the six, this is the story of their music, their rise, their passion and why they really split up on 12th July 1979... . This book is told in an interview style with the band and also other characters that were around and knew the band during their time. The way the story is told in this style is brilliant, fun and unique, and I loved it!💕 Each character came alive in their own way and felt so believable and that they were so real dealing with their lives and emotions from sex, drug addiction, pregnancies, drinking and the highs and lows of living in the 1970’s rock 'n' roll scene. When I finished I had no words, I didn’t want it to end, I cried, laughed and loved this book. It will definitely be a book that will stay with me, Quotes that I will re-read and characters that I will forever love! If only the songs were real to download and listen to!
